I made this as a gift for a forum friend. The text at the back reads - 'the most potent muse of all is our own inner child'.
I really enjoyed creating this piece, the background of the front piece is alcohol ink and utee, the back is a mix of distress inks, copper embossing and vellum. It's held together with 1.5" memory glass and solder.

WS - Altered Playing Card
This weeks challenge on Wednesday Stamper is to alter a playing card. I've been struggling for inspiration a lot recently so sitting down with a challenge to meet was great, I really enjoyed getting into the creative spirit with this.
I used a giant playing card and rubbed the surface with irridescent turquoise paint - I adhered gold leaf while the paint was still wet. The background is distress inks and platinum utee. The letter and domino are both finished with alcohol inks and the title is stamped. I really like how the colour changes depending on which angle you view it.

Jennifers Wedding Album
I was asked to make this album for my sisters, in-laws to be ;-) Their daughter Jennifer never got a wedding album when she got married in 2002, so I put this together from a selection of photographs her Mum had from the day.
Her Mum and Dad are visiting Jennifer and Rahim in Canada at the moment, eagerly awaiting the birth of their 3rd child...........

Notebook Swap
Firstly sorry I've been missing in action for a while. We had a fabulous holiday in New York, but it threw me totally out of kilter and I'm only catching up with myself now. I fell in love with New York, there is so much to see and do! I'll definitely be going back some day.
I want to show you this notebook I made before I went. It was part of a swap where you had to make a notebook to swap and include the persons name in the design..... I was sending to Carol who is really talented, so the standard was pretty high! But I'm pretty happy with my little effort.
