Happy Birthday Jo

I made this card specially for Jo's birthday yesterday - Happy Birthday Jo ;-)





I'd been thinking about upholstery and wanted to make something that looked like it had been upholstered. And it seemed like a good way to protect the glass of the collage piece. The main image looks a lot like my partners youngest daughter, Leila and hence I'm drawn to the image.

Happy Birthday Emma (belated)

It was Emmas birthday on Tuesday, and although I'm a bit late I want to wish her happy birthday.



I loved making this card, all the backgrounds are handmade, and the swirls were inspired by some fab cards Kaz made recently. I picked the image as I thought she looks so chilled out - just how you should be on your birthday ;-)

Spring - Mixed Media Challenge

I made this piece for a challenge to create a mixed media "Spring" themed piece. As so often is the case it looks nothing like the image I had in my head when I started, but I think its really fun and I like that.

Happy Birthday Eithne

Its my Mums birthday today. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM.



I made her card using a collage slide I soldered myself - with guidance from Carrie. It was so much fun, I can't wait to play with this some more.

Bird Inchies

As the infamous Kaz was guest artist over on Joannes March monthly inchie swap I just had to join in.


The owls are from some delicious new K&Co paper I got from the Scrapbook Store, the backgrounds are alcohol ink stamped and embossed in copper.
