Its my Mums birthday today. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM.



I made her card using a collage slide I soldered myself - with guidance from Carrie. It was so much fun, I can't wait to play with this some more.

Bird Inchies

As the infamous Kaz was guest artist over on Joannes March monthly inchie swap I just had to join in.


The owls are from some delicious new K&Co paper I got from the Scrapbook Store, the backgrounds are alcohol ink stamped and embossed in copper.

Birthday Cards

Here's a couple of birthday cards I made for forum friends this week.

The first was for Paula - this was a real challenge for me, as I hate sewing but I really wanted to force myself to get into stitching. The ribbons and beads are all hand stitched and took forever to do.

But I think it was worth it, as I was happy with the finished piece.



The second card was for Joanne. Its an image transfer on wood (ingredients courtesy of Carrie). I decided to play with some wire wrapping and beads, and was thrilled with the results. Joanne has just started playing with image transfers so I thought she'd like this one.

Love Story

A little mini-book I've put together of my Mum and Dad - will give them as a little pressie.

Catkin

This is another of Lindas really fun acrylic mini books - I decorated it with alcohol inks and papers to create a mini book of the various faces of Catkin (Joe's cat) .

CANAL - DB Project

We have to prepare projects for exhibition for the final night of the camera course this Wednesday. My first project is based on a local Canal. I was lucky enough to get a great day a few weeks ago and overall I'm pretty happy with the shots I got, and the final results, even with my limited editing knowledge.

Mothers Day Card

I didn't have this ready for mothers day so gave my Mum a bought card / choccy bar in the mean time, but this one will be going in the post on Monday.

Birthday Card

Just a quick post to share this Birthday card I made for the lovely Galina recently. I had loads of fun making the background with Carries' stash and guidance - thanks hun ;-) - and was pleased with the finished piece.
