Leaf Hanging

This piece took a while to come together. I painted the base months ago and it sat on my worktop for ages. I picked up the fabulous leaf ribbons a few weeks back and the hanging finally began to take shape. The Leaf theme established I found the lovely silver leaf and built it up as a 3-D piece with the little girls image and glossy accents, and stamped a leaf image on the base also.

I love leaves. I love pictures of them, the shapes of them, the colours of them. Autumn is my favourite time of year, with the leaves falling around you and the glorious range of colour they display. I loved making this piece, especially because I loved the theme. And I'm happy its gone to a good home.
